Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

The Illyrian Revival Foundation ("we," "us," "our") is a nonprofit organization. This policy explains what information we collect through our website, how we use it, and your choices.

Information we collect

How we use this information

We use the information you provide solely to respond to your inquiries, send newsletter updates you've requested, and operate the organization's programs. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Third-party services

We use EmailJS to deliver contact form and newsletter submissions to our email inbox, Zeffy to process donations, Google Fonts to display type on our site, Google Ads and Google Analytics to run, measure, and understand traffic to our advertising and website, and the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel to measure our social media advertising (see "Advertising," "Google Analytics," and "Meta Pixel" below). Each of these services may process limited technical data as part of providing their service to us.

Advertising

We use Google Ads to run advertising campaigns and measure their effectiveness. This places a small tracking tag (Google's "gtag.js") on our site, which may set cookies in your browser to record when you click one of our ads and later take an action on our site (such as visiting the Donate page). This helps us understand which ads are effective; it does not give us access to your personally identifiable information.

You can review how Google uses this data in Google's Partner Sites policy, and you can opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings or the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

We also use Google's "Enhanced Conversions" feature, which takes information you've already provided us (such as your email address, if you submit our contact form or newsletter signup) and sends a securely hashed, non-reversible version of it to Google. This helps us measure whether our advertising is effective, but does not share your actual email address or other raw personal information with Google.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use our site — for example, which pages are viewed, how far down a page visitors scroll, when visitors click a link to another site (such as Zeffy or our social media pages), and when visitors interact with our contact or newsletter forms. This is separate from the Google Ads conversion tracking described above, though both are provided by Google.

Some of the account-level data sharing settings we've enabled allow Google to use aggregated, de-identified data from our account to provide us with business insights and benchmarking, and to assist us if we contact Google for technical support. We have not enabled sharing our data to improve Google's own products generally, or to generate Google's own marketing recommendations.

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Meta Pixel

We use the Meta Pixel (from Facebook/Instagram's parent company, Meta) to measure the effectiveness of our social media advertising and to understand how visitors arrive at our site from Facebook or Instagram. This places a cookie in your browser and shares certain data about your visit (such as which pages you view) with Meta, which may be linked to a Facebook or Instagram account if you have one.

You can review how Meta uses this data in Meta's Privacy Policy, and manage how your data is used for ads across Meta's platforms through your Facebook Ad Preferences settings.

Data security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information you share with us, consistent with New York's data security requirements under the SHIELD Act. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the unsubscribe link included in every email we send, or by contacting us directly. You may request that we delete personal information you've submitted by emailing us at the address below.

Children's privacy

Our website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
